1. Trial Period Overview

chairOS offers new users a free trial period to evaluate the Service. These Trial Terms supplement our Terms of Service and apply specifically to trial subscriptions.

2. Trial Duration and Eligibility

Trial eligibility and terms:

  • Trial period is 7 days from account creation
  • One trial per person, business, or payment method
  • Valid payment method required to start trial
  • Trial is only available to new customers
  • We reserve the right to verify eligibility and deny trials

3. Payment Method Requirement

To begin your trial, you must provide valid payment information. By providing payment information, you authorize us to:

  • Verify your payment method (a small temporary hold may be placed)
  • Store your payment information securely with our payment processor (Stripe)
  • Automatically charge the subscription fee when the trial ends

You will NOT be charged during the trial period unless you explicitly upgrade to a paid plan.

4. Trial Features and Limitations

During the trial period:

4.1 Available Features

  • Full access to all paid subscription features
  • Unlimited bookings and clients (subject to fair use)
  • SMS notifications (within fair use limits)
  • Custom booking page
  • Payment processing and deposits
  • Email and customer support

4.2 Trial Limitations

  • Trial cannot be extended or restarted
  • Fair use policy applies to all features
  • We may limit or suspend trials that show signs of abuse

5. Automatic Conversion to Paid Subscription

When your trial period ends, your account will automatically convert to a paid subscription:

  • You will be charged the current subscription rate
  • Billing will occur automatically using your stored payment method
  • You will receive email notification before the trial ends
  • Your subscription will renew monthly until canceled

6. Cancellation During Trial

You may cancel your trial at any time:

  • Cancel through your account settings
  • No charges will be made if you cancel before trial ends
  • Access continues until the end of your trial period
  • Your account and data may be deleted after trial expiration

To avoid being charged, you must cancel before your trial period ends.

7. Trial Abuse and Fraud Prevention

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate trials that show signs of abuse or fraud, including:

  • Multiple trial accounts for the same business or person
  • Suspicious patterns of signup and cancellation
  • Use of temporary or fraudulent payment methods
  • Excessive resource usage or system abuse
  • Violation of our Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policy

8. Data During and After Trial

Data handling during trial:

  • All data you create during trial is stored securely
  • If you convert to paid, all data is retained
  • If you cancel or trial expires, data may be deleted after 30 days
  • You should export important data before canceling

9. Changes to Trial Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Trial Terms, including:

  • Trial duration and eligibility
  • Features available during trial
  • Pricing after trial conversion

Changes will not affect active trials but will apply to new trials started after the change.
